Employers and Training Providers

At Stopsley High School, we endeavour to provide our students with a wide range of employer and careers related events, giving them the opportunity to increase their awareness of life beyond secondary school with meaningful employer encounters and real-life experiences of the working world. We would appreciate your involvement in supporting our students to enhance their awareness and employability skills in careers activities such as:

  • Take part in our Business, Education, Skills and Partnership (BESP) event where our students ask you questions about your job role and organisation you work for and your careers journey
  • Offer a work experience placement through your organisation for one or a group of our year 10 students
  • Provide a careers insight talk to our key stage 3 students about your career path or sector in which you work in
  • If you work in a growing industry, share with our key stage 4 students of the upcoming opportunities that they may be able to access
  • Deliver/support a subject lesson specific to the industry in which you work in; bringing real-life context to a particular subject area or topic
  • Offering a mentor programme to enhance students employability skills
  • CV writing support

If you are able to support with any of these activities or have other suggestions on how you could support our careers programme, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Miss Lynch (careers adviser) on 01582 870935 or email llynch@stopsleyhighschool.co.uk
