Important Message

We are aware that there is immense speculation in the media about the probability of school closures to help delay the spread of the COVID-19. We will take our lead from the Government and Public Health England and, as of this morning, we have not received any formal indication of, if or when, this is likely to happen and therefore we continue our days as planned.

I want to reassure you that behind the scenes, we have been working extensively for a number of weeks to prepare for such an eventuality.  Should the situation arise that we need to put these plans into action, we will of course communicate with you and the students, but it would be too early to do so at this time.

The latest guidance from Public Health advises that if you show symptoms of Coronavirus, a high temperature or a new, continuous cough, you should self-isolate for 14 days. If your child displays these symptoms, please keep them at home and let us know by following the normal procedures found on our website.

We understand that these are anxious times and we are here to support the children with any concerns that they may have. I would also like to ask for your support in helping us keep the children calm and focused during this period. In the meantime we continue to remind staff, students and visitors to take precautionary measures to minimise the spread of infection and of the importance of good health hygiene.

Kind regards

Mrs K Johns | Headteacher
