Year 11 Careers Fair

On the 9th October, all year 11 students attended a careers fair at Putteridge High School. We got the opportunity to meet many colleges, universities and apprenticeship providers. Some of the apprenticeships advertised were at the Signature flight support and private jet company, JTL apprenticeships and training, GKN aerospace, University of Bedfordshire and a variety of other establishments.

The day was a great opportunity to find out routes that can be taken after high school. After speaking to all of the companies and organisations, we found that we could investigate different college courses to find what suits each person at open days in the next few months. It is a huge help to receive this information as attending these open days will give us a feel for each college, allowing us to further understand where we would like to enrol next year. We all found this day really helpful as we were given lots of information about all the possible forms of education post 16. I would 100% recommend this trip to future years it is offered to. On behalf of Year 11, I would like to say thank you to the careers department for this great opportunity.
